We are honoured that we are often chosen for engagements and proposals, honeymoons, and weddings (as well as for significant birthdays, anniversaries, and other special occasions) and we go out of our way to make them more special. At the cottages (which are two individual houses in different locations 2 miles apart , we are not a complex) we have all year round five star comforts, each in a tranquil rural setting.Both cottages have superking master bedrooms, quality showers with dinner plate heads, woodburners and  Foxes Reach also has a hot tub.

A wide choice of wedding venues near your cottage

There are numerous beautiful old churches and a range of ancient and modern wedding and civil partnership venues close to us. From Tintern Abbey Cottage with its superking beds and whirlpool bath there are three within walking distance and others in minutes by car. Choose between historic venues like Clearwell Castle or Caldicot Castle, the  ancient parish Church on the riverbank or even Chepstow Racecourse  or The Old Railway Station. – wherever you are getting married we can look after your guests or the lucky couple .

Wide choice of local pubs and restaurants

Monmouthshire is the Food Capital of Wales so why not make your stay a truly 5* foodie break?  There are excellent restaurants and pubs nearby . We can supply a list  with choices from Michelin starred to a local chippie if you want to make reservations.

A cottage stay makes a fabulous gift

We can also  “package” a holiday to be a Wedding  Present, Engagement gift or surprise, supplying a suitable card for you to present as an announcement of your gift. If  the recipient is not able to stay at the cottage on the “right” day  but will  enjoy their stay later on this would  also make a great choice.

Extra arrival treats ?

If you would like more arrival treats (which could include real champagne, extra flowers, seasonal fruit, bathrobes , balloons, cakes, chocolates, cheeses, strawberries or a host of other options designed to please) just let us know your budget and we can arrange them for you .

Extra pampering or activities during your stay?

We can point you in the direction of golf courses, theatres, balloon flights, visiting beauty  treatments, restaurant reservations, mountain biking, fishing guide, riding lessons , make your own gin sessions, and lots lots more. We have a visiting chef service, fresh freezer fills can be arranged and our brilliant cook can do you canapes or main course dishes for your special meal at the cottage. Thanks to our visiting pamper therapist you can even be pampered at your cottage without lifting a finger – unless you’d like it painted!  How about a hairdo ,aromatherapy massage or  manicure as an extra gift?  Just ask!

Tintern Abbey Cottage

• Luxurious and with the million dollar view
• Sleeps up to 6 in three bedrooms which all have superking zip and link beds so they can be 6ft doubles or a pair of twins as you wish. Perfect for a family reunion but makes a wonderfully spacious and luxurious treat for 2
