Evensong ( vespers) in the beautiful ruins of Tintern Abbey is rare enough but on Sunday 07 September it will be something even more special when Rowan Williams, former Bishop of Monmouth and Archbishop of Canterbury will lead the open air service.
Well known locally for his ability to connect with everyone from the smallest schoolboy to the world geatest academics this is a chance to hear and welcome him "home".
3pm start in the Abbey. Bring a coat if needed as there is no roof, and a folding chair.
