What a happy week we have had here at Vanilla Cottage: the setting is so tranquil and the cottage is so cosy and comfortable. We have been lucky enough to have had good weather and soon settled into our holiday routine ….. morning coffee in the beautiful garden and then off for a day of exploring the area. What a fabulous cottage in a stunning location. Our family of 6 have loved our week in Tintern. Beautiful scenery and lots to do. We have canoed, rock climbed, cycled and walked – and ate very well at The Anchor and The Wild Hare. The craft shops were lovely for a wander and picked up a picture at The Boat Shed to remind us of a fantastic holiday in The Wye Valley. Thank you! You could not stay any closer to The Abbey! A day of technologiacal contrasts when a drone photographed the condition of the masonry of this centuries old building. A beautiful location. In the heat the cottage kept its cool and stayed warm on cool days. A great base with plenty of room for us all – everything needed was available. Great walking, cycling, fascinating shops local ice cream and cakes and easy access to market towns, Wye Valley, Forest of Dean as well as the Brecon Beacons included!
