Great few days with fantastic weather, cottage very comfortable with lovely views to enjoy. Excellent evening meal at The Anchor Inn on Saturday. Walked every day from the cottage and used lower Wye rambles book – walks 10, 12 and 13 all really good and easy to follow. Walked up to Devil’s Pulpit with a fabulous view from the top. We have really enjoyed our few days in an area New to us- We would. Recommend it all Thank you Cottage Guest - March 2014
Have enjoyed our week at Vanilla Cottage, which is comfortable and well equipped. We have been out walking every day and as keen Geocachers this is a brilliant location. We haven’t managed to find all of the local ones, so will be back to bag the rest! We ate at The Black Bear, which was good but mostly cooked evening meals here, where all you need is supplied. Our dogs enjoyed the garden and the walk along the riverbank Recommend Craft Renaissance for coffee and cake as well as unusual and reasonably priced art and craft work. Thank you for making our stay so enjoyable and relaxing. Fab heating system by the way !!! Tony and Linda Moffatt Cornwall Tony and Linda Moffatt -
Lovely, comfortable, well equipped cottage with lots of lovely forest walks for our dogs. They are exhausted! We would have walked more but our dogs are rather old! Jake and chips at The Anchor in Tintern was excellent! We sat in the sun. Only one really wet evening which is much better than expected. Very much enjoyed the BlackBerry Vodka! Found all the food we required in Chepstow- Tesco easy to find. Very friendly neighbours. We would like to try the other cottages. This is the best self-catering cottage we have stayed in over the last ten years. Joy and Graham Wells Joy and Graham Wells -

We enjoyed our stay in Vanilla Cottage a very peaceful retreat! Lots of lovely special treats when we arrived! Enjoyed walking the Usk Valley walk although there were several trees down so a bit of climbing over and under was to be expected but we made it through with the dogs. The Black Bear inn – great food and drink in a 16th century inn with log fires. Nicky and George Rawle Hampton Oxfordshire Nicky and George Rawle -
An idyllic setting for a relaxing week away. Glorious countryside, welcoming locals and great food helped make this the perfect “get away from it” holiday. We’ll certainly be back! David and Jules Adams Southport David and Jules Adams -
