This was our first stay at this beautiful cottage but hopefully not our last. We felt totally settled and at home remarkably quickly. The cottage is a real home from home, attention to detail and effort to provide every comfort is amazing and so appreciated. Magical four days spent in Vanilla Cottage! As the weather was sunny for the whole of our stay ,we spent our days walking in superb scenery in woodlands and along rivers. We particularly enjoyed our dinner at the Black Bear Inn as both the food and atmosphere, were fantastic. Lovely little cottage and we are sure to come back soon. Our third visit and still has the wonder ful ,charm and comfort as the first time! The Abbey still evokes a wonderful vibe and looks beautiful on a misty morning. Came this weekend with the girls and enjoyed “high teas”, coffee and two lovely meals at The Anchor and The Fountain. Already feeling sad about leaving and will certainly be back soon. We’ve enjoyed the cottage very much and especial my the hot tub. We liked the wine and cakes very much too. Mum loved the flowers. We had fun in Puzzlewood and got a few good pictures.
