We spent a wonderful week in Tintern Abbey Cottage. We enjoyed the nature of the Forest of Dean and also spent a lot of time witb relatives in Caldicott. Our short stay in Wales was mainly a get away and family meet up. We all came together from Sheffield Yorkshire and Preston Lancashire. The cottage had everything we needed including a bonus hot tub. We all set out seperately doing our own things in Lydney, Chepstow, Newport, Clearwell and Tintern coming together in the evenings. We ate out one evening at The Anchor which was delicious. We enjoyed the wine tasting at the vineyard in Tintern. Malcolm and Fiona have been very friendly and welcoming and helpful also quick to answer our e mails. Thank you for the wonderful welcome Malcolm. What a gem of s cottage! We had only 3 nights here- not long enough to fully enjoy the area and the joys of Vanilla Cottage, so we do hope to be back. Than k you so much for the complenentary items- fresh flowers, and mint, blackcurrant vodka Were particularly special!. James says plenty of hooks and Sky tv were also appreciated!
