Reviews from our guests

There are several places where our guests leave us comments.

Not everyone writes in our books – but some people do write by hand in the visitor books in each cottage ( sometimes even signed by the pets! ) Sometimes people forget to write in the book and e mail us later. We faithfully copy these comments as they come in and we upload them here. The only thing we ever hide or alter is the full guest name and address for obvious reasons of privacy.

Secondly we encourage our guests to write about us on the site through which they booked (Trip Advisor, Air B and B, Cottages.com, Freetobook  etc)

As you will see we do have brilliant reviews. They are genuine, not a “fix” and  and its not that nothing ever goes wrong!  Although our standards are very high just occasionally, in the real world,  things are bound to happen. Machines fail, something breaks. The successive good reviews are  because if something does go awry, and if our guests tell us about it  during their stay,  we do move heaven and earth to fix it while those guests are still with us. People greatly appreciate this effort  on our part  and we guarantee  we always make it. If once in a while a review is less than wonderful it is  almost always the case that it was outside our control ( internet down or slow in the whole area for example)  or  sometimes we were  inexplicably only advised about a problem after those guests had departed when there was sadly nothing we could do to make it better.

Your cottage is situated in a lovely place, Tintern Abbey being our view from all angles, whether in the house or the garden.
Thank you, we have enjoyed the raspberry
Vodka and the Welsh tea cakes. Malcolm and Fiona were very responsive to all our contacts from our booking to any minor queries while we have been here. Lovely comfy beds and hot water at all times.

We would like to say we have really enjoyed our stay. Six ladies of a certain age!
Drank far too much wine but we had a lovely time. With laughter and tears washed down with a few beers! We will be back next year do not fear…..!
We had a lovely restful weekend. See you next year.

Totally peaceful and relaxing. There is never enough time to visit everywhere and when it is time to go you just wish you had one more day. Although a fair bit to travel, we can recommend Rhossilli beach and walks. The dog could not get enough of it! An idyllic visit and definitely a return has to be planned in.Many thanks.

Lovely weekend exploring this beautiful village. Glorious walks up towards Devils’s Pulpit and along the river to Brockweir ( we even managed to drag two teenagers along too!)
The cottage was warm and cosy and had everything we needed and more including comfy beds. We enjoyed Sunday lunch at The Anchor and tea and cake at The White Monk cafe.
Would love to return!

We have had a wonderfully relaxing week in a wonderfully cosy cottage. The highlights were the woodburner and the hot tub- especially in the snow!

This is an annual Mum and daughter treat and we both agree Foxes Reach has been our favourite cottage so far.
Thank you
