“””We were made to feel very welcome in a nice, homely cottage with a woodburner, the homemade blackcurrant vodka was very much appreciated after a spell in the hot tub which was delightful! There is plenty to do in area with lots of lovely views over the Wye Valley. The Anchor Inn and Moon and Sixpence in Tintern were both nice, friendly places to eat with generous portions at a reasonable price.”” Mrs East and Party April 09 ” Mrs East and Party - March 2014
“We have enjoyed our week in this lovely cottage very much. The Dean Forest Railway is worth a visit. You can have a ride on a steam train on Sundays. We hope to come back one day! Julie, Mike and JB Beagle March 09” Julie, Mike and JB (Beagle) -
“We came back for our second visit( April 09). Our two labradors enjoyed the walking- especially down to Tintern. We walked across the River by Abbey Mill and then along the River bank and back a different way from Brockweir. The Wye Valley is a peaceful heaven. This time there were 4 of us plus the dogs. Next time there will be two so now we are trying to decide whether we will try Vanilla or come back to Foxes Reach again as we love the extra space….. “Like several of the writers in the guest book we enjoyed walks in Tintern near the Abbey and along the river. These walks completed a wonderful time. Thank you for the wine and special fruit vodka. This latter helped us sleep 10 hours the first night! The time has gone too quickly and the peace and quiet was appreciated, We did not try any of the local eating houses but enjoyed cooking in a well presented kitchen and the discovery of what was where for us to use. Thanks! Richard and Elizabeth January 2009” Richard and Elizabeth -
“We were there for just a short visit before Christmas, right as you were putting up the real tree and lights for your lucky visitors. It really did look like the website which isnt always the case and we thought it looked fantastic. We only have a fake tree at home, very pretty but this smelled so good – and the house was warm on an icy weekend ! I hope we can book a whole week for next time. “Thank you so much for the warm welcome. We found the cottage spotlessly clean and so cosy.Your garden is brilliant and we sat hours on the terrace watching the birds and butterflies You dont find it everywhere and we enjoyed the difference. We have already re booked and look forward to seeing you again! Mary Price August 2008” Mary Price -
