“The owners, Fiona and Malcolm, have made Foxes Reach into a top quality cottage that you cannot expect to find in many other places. They have made an astonishing effort to make your stay as comfortable and pleasant as possible. The complementary bottle of wine, a home-made blackcurrant vodka and fresh flowers are just a few examples of the great hospitality you meet upon arrival. The cottage itself is very comfortable and well equipped providing upmarket products and facilities anyone could possibly want for a perfect holiday. The outdoor hot tub is just one special facility that makes this cottage outstanding. On top of this, Foxes Reach has a perfect location for exploring the areas of Southern Wales and particular the beautiful Wye Valley and the Forest of Dean, the Brecon Beacons National Park, as well as it has easy access to numerous points of interests like Tintern abbey, Chepstow Castle and the Big Pit just to mention a few. Foxes Reach is simply the best cottage we have ever stayed in and we will definitely come back and can only recommend this place – get your booking sorted! “Just with you for two nights and pretty much as we expected. Foxes Reach is a lovely property. The house was spotless on arrival and we wanted for nothing in the house. The little touches made us feel very welcome – the log burner lit and heating the living room, the flowers, milk and wine waiting for us. The whole house is subtly decorated and the beds were really comfortable and warm, making it difficult to get up in the morning! The kitchen had a plentiful supply of cutlery, cooking utensils, pans etc. The house was very quiet, giving us all a good night’s sleep after a great day sightseeing in the area. The log burner eats up wood, but it was reasonably priced and for a short break it made a nice change. We would definitely return to this property if we came to this area again. We have marked you 10 out of 10 for everything- especially very comfy beds. Thank you- Daniels party Feb 2011” Daniels Party -

“It really is Location Location Location here close to so many walks, interesting towns and castles. Thank you for the warm welcome when we arrived and all the little extras thoughtfully included. We have had a great week exploring very different places to when we have stayed at Foxes Reach- which makes it seem further away than it is! We loved Usk Castle, the Farmers market, Raglan Castle and Caerphilly – fascinating and dog friendly too. We loved walking in the Beacons and preferred Garwnant to the visitor centre area.Hereford and Hay on Wye are lovely towns lots of boutique shopping if you like the French shabby chic thing. Perfect shops for that! Must do extras Big Pit, very interesting to talk to the ex miners who are now guides. They dont hark back to the Halcyon Days and wonder why we want to visit! That gave us a more rounded view. Abbey Dore gardens must go back. Couldnt go into the gardens with the dogs but the cakes in the tea room were lovely! Of course the weather has been very kind and so relaxing in the garden has been just lovely at the end of each day. just what is the beautifully tiered shrub half way down he garden? please tell we want one for home. Thanks again, our third visit and we will return soon to one or other of your cottages! Andre and Clare Caulfield and Forrest and Wilson the black labs from Yorkshire. ” Andrew and Clare Caulfield -
