Monmouthshire Cottages are easily reached via the ferries
How to reach our three separate Monmouthshire Cottages
Coming to us from Ireland is very easy.
We welcome many visitors from Ireland, especially those coming to us for family events such as weddings, the Cheltenham Festival of Racing ( approximately 45 minutes) or the Rugby matches in Cardiff.
We speak the same language (almost!!) and as we take credit cards you can phone us to pay for your cottage without a fuss about currency (our prices are in Sterling).
To get here easily there are several options
Pile your car and family onto one of the many ferries and arrive without struggling with luggage.
– then the good main road which becomes the M4 will have you in Monmouthshire in around 2.5 – 3 hours.

Holyhead is in Anglesey the extreme North West of Wales, whereas we are in the extreme South East. But no worries – Wales isn’t very large! Driving time from Holyhead to Monmouthshire is between 4 and 5 hours (that’s if you are not tempted by any of the magical stopping opportunities on the very scenic route!) This arrival point is ideal for a two centre holiday but even works if you are coming direct to us. Don’t race. Relax and enjoy the scenery on the way. It’s part of your holiday.
We are just under an hours drive from Cardiff and Bristol airports (you can hire a car there) and about 75 minutes from Birmingham Airport (car hire there as well). Couldn’t be easier to pop over for a relaxing weekend, on business, to attend a major event like Cheltenham Festival of Racing ( only about 45 mins away) or why not stay a little longer?
