There will be Carols in roofless Tintern Abbey ( just across the road from Tintern Abbey Cottage) on Friday 12 December , maintaining a centuries old tradition. Hundreds of people are expected whatever the weather and they will gather outside the Abbey from 6 to sip mulled wine and light their flaming torches before processing into the Abbey at 6.45 to join Wyedean School Choirs.
For many. this is the start of the real Festive Season of celebration and song.. Wrap up warm ( Henry 8ths men took the roof! ) and come and enjoy.
